"It's just that sometimes people use thought to not participate in life." (page 24)

- This quote is very accurate. Everyone uses thought, but when thought is more entertaining and better than reality they usually get caught up in their thoughts and loose connection to reality.  When a person doesn't have anybody to talk to, they have their mind to go to, and they can think all they want without anybody judging them.

"So this is my life. And i am both happy and sad and i'm still trying to figure out how that could be." (page 2)

-I believe this quote is very interesting because it's talking about how mixed up and confusing emotions can be and how nobody really does understand whats going on when facing these emotions. This quote is at the beginning of the book, so I dont know much about the character yet, but the quote gives me a generalization that he's a confused teen. 

"And in that moment, i swear we were infinite." (page 39)

-This quote was taken place when Charlie was in the car with Patrick and Sam listening to "Landscape," laughing after they went through a cave. I believe that Charlie is feeling free from his boundaries, and that he is free from the limitations of his life, and more deeply, his mind. Or he could be feeling freedom from the power of his depression and his sadness. Overall, I believe that this quote is very empowering.
